Clinical Support - Acute Allied Health

You will find a friendly, collegial atmosphere within this team of than 100 staff based mainly at Middlemore Hospital and Kidz First as well as at our Manukau SuperClinic™ and Botany SuperClinic™ and out in the community renal, diabetes and paediatric services. We enjoy celebrating our successes as well as recognising and rewarding teamwork.

Our areas of expertise include:

• Dietetics
• Speech Language Therapy
• HealthCare Assistants
• Administration

There are 11 areas within the team, each with its own section head who is profession specific. There is one exception: hand therapy, where there are physiotherapists and occupational therapists combined in the one Section. We encourage and support staff to improve their professional and specialist skills through in-house and external training programmes and conferences. The use of clinical pathways and evidence based practice is embedded within the Service while research, audit and continuous quality improvement is also encouraged.
