Graduate Programme

Physiotherapy, social work, occupational therapy and speech language therapy all provide rotational positions for new graduate staff. Occupational therapy in Mental Health provides a new graduate programme where employees are given the opportunity to study for a Postgraduate Certificate in Health (Allied Mental Health) through Victoria University of Wellington. Occupational therapy also provides an advanced rotation for more experienced staff. Dietitians are in the process of developing rotational positions.

All staff enjoy regular supervision and there is a commitment to ongoing education. Performance development reviews are an annual occurrence for all staff, with rotational staff completing a new review for each rotation.

Strong links with professional bodies are maintained through the professional leaders. Links with tertiary providers are strengthened by a robust student placement scheme for all professions.
